2005 Championship Meet Feedback

Feedback. David Grilli of the RAYS commented that based upon what we had to deal with, the State Meet went well.  Jack Fabian commented that it was suggested to him that we consider having positive check-in for relays and then seed them at the meet to avoid multiple heats with only one relay.

Maureen Pheaps of EST reported that there was some mess made in a varsity locker room at UNH but it was cleaned up.  Missy of SGBC reported that there was one accident on deck at the meet.  Girl slipped and was back boarded.  Missy was very impressed with the way that people worked together.  Missy was upset about her treatment regarding the pool situation.  There are very few pools in NH and there was one option, UNH and we were stuck with that option.  She felt her decision on the location should have been treated with more respect.

USA Sanction status of the State Meet.  Missy brought up a separate the idea of the league evaluates its membership in USA-S and to see if there is umbrella insurance for the championship meet.  Cost is $55 per swimmer and $175 per team. Jack will look into the sanctioning of the State meet.  Evaluate the cost. Marshallıs will need to be registered.

Dave Grilli discussed the result of the Gunstock scholarship contest. Seven essays were submitted. He thought it worked out well and that maybe some vignettes from submitted essays should be published in the program. The scholarship selection committee will consist of Steve Van Der Beken, David Grilli, Brian Crawford, and Regan Reed for the 2005-2006 season.
